Many thanks to last year’s officers, Pauline Cook, Bill Heacox, Steve Hammond, and Tom Harper for the many selfless hours they put in to maintain the club’s 61th year of helping Citroen enthusiasts in Southern California and around the world.
The coming year will prove to be exciting as the US automotive press continue to discover our unique cars and elevate them to the important place in automotive history which they deserve. In August this year, the Concours on the Avenue in downtown Carmel will host its first ever French car class, featuring Citroen. This car show kicks off the Monterey car week which culminates with the Pebble Beach Concours. Note: they are still looking for cars. We have been invited back to the Los Angeles Classic Car show after our award-winning turnout last year. Can’t promise but we will push for a French car class at the San Marino Motor Car Classic in 2018. We promise to put the club front and center in Los Angeles automotive scene as we are still the largest French Car club in southern California. We will open our events to owners of other fine French marques so pass to word to your friend down the block with a Peugeot, Renault, Simca, Facel Vega, Bugatti and so forth. Invite them to be on our mailing list.
I look forward to seeing you all and hearing your ideas or comments about our club.
